The error is normal; verify_install looks for Crypt::Blowfish
but not Crypt::Blowfish_PP. As long as you get success on
the login test, you can safely ignore this error.

You *can* run Blowfish if you're running a fairly current
version of ActivePerl (e.g. 623 and up). ActiveState has
it available through PPM -- just launch PPM and do
"install Crypt-Blowfish" and you should be fine.

My advice is to fetch Blowfish; it is noticeably faster than
Blowfish_PP.  If you need to upgrade ActivePerl, go for it;
I've never encountered a problem with an ActivePerl upgrade.
I have reports that 2.41 works fine even with 629 (the
current beta version).

Subject: 2.41 install anamoly

Hi Folks!

Ok, I installed the vanilla 2.41 scripts on a new Win2K server
tonight. Everything went well, except one thing. Verify_install.cgi
reports one error:

Not found: Can't locate Crypt/Blowfish.pm in @INC (@INC contains:....

Now - I have crypt_type in opensrs.conf set to Blowfish_PP. And, I
installed Blowfish_PP for Eric's repository (thanks again, Eric!).
Upon searching, I indeed find Blowfish_PP.pm in my Perl\site\lib\Crypt
directory.

So, my questions are as follows:

1) Should I be using Blowfish instead of Blowfish_PP

2) If so, where can I find the Blowfish package?

3) If not, why am I receiving this error?

All help appreciated! :)
