There will definitely be an updated client code once the respective
registries go live. In order to provide you with definitive time periods,
Tucows needs further direction from both Afilias and NeuLevel. (as Chucks
explained) While Afilias will begin processing names on the 12th...they
still have yet to provide us with timelines regarding when the respective
queues will be processed.
If we assume that the queues will operate similar to how they were in
Sunrise, then the updated client might take a month to come out...Here is
the schedule that ran for Sunrise:
Submissions Accepted Submissions Processed
Round 1: July 25 - July 31 August 1 - August 4
Round 2: August 1 - August 4 August 5 - August 7
Round 3: August 5 - August 7 August 8 - August 10
Round 4: August 8 - August 10 August 11- August 14
Real-time: August 15 - August 27 real-time
Based on the logic above (again, assuming similarities in the queue
processing, it means that real-time registration would be launched in
October. Likely this would include the ability to register both .info and
.biz in real-time.
But as I said - I will provide updates the minute I have something worth
communicating.

It isn't long now before .info and .biz are in general registration state.
Will there be a client update required to support that and if there is a new
client can we get some idea of when so that we can plan our integartion
