Hi,

Why not just use "Eastern Daylight Time" or "Eastern Standard Time". I
think that would eliminate all possibilities for confusion. I know we
live in a world of three letter abbreviations, but sometimes you've just
got to do the typing. :-)

I believe the easiest way of ensuring you always mean the right thing no
matter what time of the year, is using "ET" or perhaps the more verbose
"EST5EDT" as the timezone descriptor...
