My <very much my own> own opinion is: - properly done, a web site can provide the best ROI in the "find them" and "contact them" category - over time it will eclipse (and in many cases today does) a yellow pages ad - the major killer internet app for small business is low cost communication with existing customers; effectively building meaningful relationships at a low cost; this is harder than it sounds, as real value is only earned by providing *good* information, which always ends up being harder to do than to commit to...
