Not quite. :-) Here are two ideas. I like the second one much better. === Option 1 === Put the RSP info clearly above or below the domain registrant and contacts. I think this is necessary to prevent any confusion as to whom end user is the domain really is. I would avoid the hazy "Sponsoring Reseller" nomenclature, and change it to something like this: Registration Support Provider: Reseller Name, reseller@email 1-999-555-1212 http://www.example.com Or better yet, Registration Service Provider: Reseller Name, reseller@email 1-999-555-1212 http://www.example.com Also, can we make the phone number an optional field? I would like to avoid tying up my line with confused, trigger happy, people who think I may have administrative power over the domain in question. For that matter, can we just make all of the fields optional. Obviously our existing customers know how to contact us just fine, and thus I would prefer full control as to the channeling of new contacts. Don't forget, not all RSPs fit into the standard "retail" profile. === Option 2 === This option is preferable route, since it should solve most of the problems that folks have with the current system. However, make RSP info a "limited freeform" field of sane length (<= 512 chars)between Whois parser friendly delimiters.
