Yep. I believe we had this happen... An AOL user account. But this could have been an NSI/VeriSign tactic.
The customer had a domain up for renewal with NSI, 30 days prior he changed his admin e-mail to a valid address and we generated a transfer request. He did not get it. I sent a second request. Still "you don't got mail" then I asked him for his NSI management login info because he swore he had a valid e-mail but after 9 days a whois still had the invalid one listed. I then logged into to VeriSign's domain user management system. It reflected the changes. After 20 days of this shit, the customer's domain expired. Of course you know me, I always try to find the bright spot in every lousy situation. It is one less customer to deal with!
