Perhaps, if you cleverly do negative asdvertisement, but if your not a great marketing type, I don't recommend it. Unless I am mistaken, most of us here are more technical in experience. Techies aren't typically great marketing talents as they don't like selling vaporware, blue sky, stretching the truth (sometimes beyond recognition), etc...
So, if your not so blessed, do you want to risk loosing a possible costumer to your competition? One of the biggest problems with techy marketing tatics is, we tend to try to educate out costumers and not sell our costumers. For us, those two things are one in the same. But for the rest of the world, they are totally different. (It has taken me decades to make that discovery as we tend to think other people are like ourselves.) Now, I am not a marketing expert, but I have learned from those who are, you don't make it easy for your costumers to goto your competition unless you really know what your doing. Some of us work really hard to get traffic to our sites and some of us are making some change. You have to assign a $$$ amount to every visitor that comes based on, then make the descion how willing you are to even let one of them have a remote chance they will go somewhere else. Remimber, most of them don't know or feel like you. Enough of my words of wit, do what ever you like, but if you do some of what I am suggesting, I think you will come to a better descion.
