Verisign isn't the only registrar with this problem. Here's what Bulkregister said in a message to me this morning:
>Dear Client, > >Thank you for your inquiry. To further assist you can you please clarify > what a auth_code is. I will gladly assist you. > >Thank you. > >J********* >Customer Service >Bulkregister.com Enom and Namescout have not responded to my requests yet. On the brighter side, registrationtek provided the codes I needed within a few minutes. Personally I think the auth_code requirement should be eliminated at the registry level (since most registrars don't provide the code to the registrant, it can hardly be considered a proof of ownership). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Genie Livingstone" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, January 07, 2002 8:59 PM Subject: Fw: Netslow misleading customers on .info transfers > Hi fellow resellers: > > I promissed to keep you posted on .info transfers and out Netslow > friends: well, here ya go - directly from our customer's input. > > Can Compliance dept of OpenSRS help???? > > Cheers > Genie > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "protected for clients privacy' > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, January 07, 2002 10:35 AM > Subject: Help! > > > > Dear Eye, > > > > I am trying to transfer four domains to my account > > with you.
