The correct name servers are listed at opensrs, but the information has not yet been updated at the registry's DNS or whois servers. Changes like this do not happen instantly. I believe they're *supposed* to happen in a batch that runs every six hours, but I've seen the changes take as long as a day to get noticed by the registry.
Also, do ya think you could avoid sending attachments to the list? I don't know what a "p7s" file is, but I'm pretty sure we don't need to see it here. p On Mon, Jan 21, 2002 at 10:24:30AM +0100, Marc C Storck wrote: > > i'm speaking about making changing nameserver entries for a .com like > jsoae.com > > nameservers were > > dns27.register.com > dns28.register.com > > and I changed them to > > ns1.storck.org > ns2.storck.org > > I did the change before the gtld-servers had loaded the new SOA serial of > 2002012001, but still they have the old nameservers from register.com! > > So this isn't probably a question about my DNS software! > > Anybody with experience with *.gtld-servers.net reloads? > > Thanks, > > Marc > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Eric Paynter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Marc C Storck" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, January 21, 2002 7:39 AM > Subject: Re: Nameserver update > > > > On January 20, 2002 10:01 pm, you wrote: > > > that's probably not a solution... so anyone else with an idea? > > > > > > Thanks, > > > > > > Marc > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > From: Spy OpenSRS Mail > > > > > > Kill the attachments please. :) > > > > > > Lars > > > SpyProductions.com > > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Marc C Storck > > > > > > Hello > > > > > > I updated the nameservers for jsoae.com when the SOA for the .com > Zone > > > file had the serial 2002012000, now th SOA has the serial 2002012001 and > my > > > updates are not included.... any ideas??? > > > > > > Marc > > > > How about trying the mail list for your DNS software? > > > > -Eric > > > > -- > > arctic bears - email and name services > > 25 email addresses@yourdomain CA$11.95/month > > DNS starting at CA$3.49/month - domains from CA$25.95/year > > for details contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] or visit > http://www.arcticbears.com > > > > -- Paul Chvostek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Operations / Development / Abuse / Whatever vox: +1 416 598-0000 it.canada http://www.it.ca/
