Looking through my e-mails I did receive an e-mail notice on the 4th. I didn't really look at the e-mail I received the other day because I just started using OpenSRS yesterday. When I saw the maintenance window was this afternoon I thought an e-mail would have gone out right beforehand but it went out a couple days earlier. Sorry about the confusion.
I'm glad to hear they always send out notifications for both 'live' and 'test' systems though!
