I'd have to know the domain name to be more specific on this particular
transfer (i.e. the order date may be March 7th, but if the email address
wasn't initially parsed by our system and then didn't get sent out until
the next day <manually> that would affect the timelines).

As for expiry dates, they stay exactly the same after a transfer.  In the
past there was a few odd issues where the expiry date would move (either a
couple of days, or an extra year was added) but VeriSign has already
cleaned up those messes (oh, THAT was fun... lemme tell ya)

Remember that the "expiry" date reported by a registrar via whois may not
necessarily reflect the actual values held in the registry, which we
honour.
