Jamie, while Esther's opinion may be interesting, she has already posited
that she has no clout, only her "belief", and so she is encouraging us (I
also still have my At Large letter) to hope for "luck."

Hardly plausible guidance from such an astute businesswoman as Esther
Dyson, not to mention Stuart Lynn, Vint Cerf and others who admonish us to
participate in  Esther's "hopeful" activity.

I dare say Karl Auerbach's "garden club" analogy couldn't be more accurate,
as there's nothing on the table but an illusive carrot.
