Hi savvy reseller types,
I realise I`m an end-user and probably shouldn`t be posting to this
list but hear me out, cos I`m quickly approaching my wits end.
I registered a .tv domain with an OpenSRS RSP. Turns out this RSP
doesn`t provide support for A and MX records for .tv`s like it does
for normal domains and they also refuse to provide me with the manage
password to this domain. I now wish to move it. Now, it turns out I
can`t seem to transfer this domain anywhere. Not only do I have
extreme difficulty establishing another OpenSRS reseller, but it seems
.tv`s just won`t transfer.
I`ve tried to force the transfer to zoneedit.com (just to move
it anywhere) by changing the NS records but this RSP changes them back
to their own an hour later. I`ve also noticed I can`t even change
registrar for .tv`s. What a lemon of a tld!
So, the result is I`ve paid for a domain I can`t effectively use, I
can`t move it to another RSP and I can`t move it to another registrar.
Anyone any advice? Can the domain be transferred manually by a helpful
RSP person?
