whois is a contact database, not a domain availability database. What does the domain availability lookup tool (in reg_system.cgi) report as the status of these domains? The lookup tool is the correct way to check domain availability. > Is there maybe a delay between registration and displaying info in whois for > .biz? possibly. I'm not sure how often .biz updates their whois database.
