We've seen them too- for domains expiring as much as 5 months from
now.  The mail seems to be delivered by "e-dialog.com" -- an opt-out
email marketing place according to their web page -- but looks to be
on behalf of NSI.  The From address and the referenced renewal web
pages are on nsi-direct.com .  Ironically the whois for nsi-direct.com
shows an expiration date of November 2001.
