We have seen that traffic originated in .tw towards our web and mail servers had some requests that we consider as "non acceptable use of our computer systems". On Sunday eve, most of our systems went down. We were able to restore normail operations of OSRS webs by noon on tuesday. Main mail server was back online on wensday eve, and all other
were back to normal operations only friday eve. We had docomented this incedents internaly. The good thing is that NO data (user and company) was compromised. Any body experienced / experiencing this - cans ask me offline - I'll tell you how to do it. Now we are looking how technicaly we could block big ranges of ip addresses (which are assigned to some regions). Does anybody know were to find list of all network assigned to a give country or region. The scheme that was intrudoced initialy in 1992 does not work today.
