Subject: RE: Can someone help with
getting access to my nameserers
First, find out if the original host retained the domain registration
services or find out if indeed that was also purchased by the new host. Then
contact whoever that is .. maybe someone at OpenSRS can confirm whether or not
Compass Communications has a current & valid account ?
The person in control of the domain registrations is able to send out
the login to the admin contact address : "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
If they do not comply with your request to send the login or these
domains are in no man's land b/c neither new nor old host has an account
with Tucows now, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] and they
should be able to help.
Jo Shea,
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
No, I'm not a re-seller. The original
hosting company that registered with OpenSRS was purchased, so I'm not sure
I can get the information from them. In fact I cc'd a contact there
when I emailed OpenSRS, and received no response. I also in my
email to OpenSRS gave a contact email for my current host, and prior host in
case they wanted to verify who I was. Beyond that, I"m not sure how to
proceed.

---hello Sheri
are you an OpenSRS reseller ?
if not, who is
the reseller sponsoring your domain name ?
he can have OpenSRS email the
password for the domain
to the admin email address for it.
the
tech contact address can not update the domain settings,
the answer from
your current host is wrong.
kind regards
philippe

>I am the webmaster of a site.
Recently, our original host was purchased (the original host setup via
Tucows/Open SRS) the nameserver.

host our site with a new host. I contacted the current host and
they said since I am the technical contact (last month we updated the
contacts and I've only been the technical contact for that long) can change
the nameserver. I've email OpenSRS with no
response, I don't have the login information to login and change the
nameservers, and now I am stuck!
