Verification itself is really the slow down for the certs acquisition
process.

There is a difference between the two verifications:
D&B actually calls the organization to verify the contacts' employment with
the company in question. This can add time onto the verification process if
they don't reach the person etc etc.

Geotrust on the other hand, does not call the contacts, just verifies that
the different records
(whois, proof of organization, and certificate order) are the same. The only
time calls are made is if the
information does not match.

This includes international records.
