First: Yes

Second: We currently do not have the capability to provide upgrades.
Initially (when the docs were first written), the registry would "reserve"
the email forward for 6 months.  Since then they've changed their tune -
as long as the domain exists, the email forward is reserved.
Unfortunately we are unable to provision the forward (we're working on
that), so you MUST get it as a bundle if you're going to want it at all
(or wait patiently for an unknown period of time for us to sort out how to
give you the upgrade)
