I'm glad it wasn't just me...

After considerable discussion with all our customers we have
decided to
retract the extension to our bidding deadline.

notification!

Is it just me, or is there something VERY wrong about this? ST

The best thing to do:

Write to Afilias a protest note.
Ask Afilias to reject all submissions from Directi.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

A lots of people are complaining, but none of them seems to be
acting.
(I just wrote an email to Afilias)
This is in my opnion clearly again the Afilias-Registrar
contracts.
A registrar is not allowed to register only on behalf off
himself.
Thats what directi is doing.

- doing a 'market research' which names are 'high value'
- trying to register the results of the market research
- selling the successful registration (auction in July)

There is another reason why everybody should protest against
this practice
by sending an email to Afilias:

Already now .info is no more very attractiv for webmasters
because of the
numerous problems with transfers. Myself I had probelms with 4
registrars which are
refusing let transfer away a .info to Tucows.

And Afilias support is always very friendly, but they do not
act.
(they refused to do a registry transfer to another registrar in
all cases)

If Afilias will tolerate all these bad practices, .info will end
as a non important
domain name like .cc

And you will loose all your small investments you have done by
reservating a
few .info for yourself. (I suppose every member of this list
will a 5-10 nice .info
resevred for future use)
