When trying to change the nameservers for one of my client's domains that is
currently registered with VeriSign, I was dissappointed to find that their
system is down. After calling probably the most helpful member of VS tech
support I've ever spoken with, he told me a great workaround for it.

1. This workaround assumes 2 things:
  a. The domain name is username/account number and password protected
  b. The domain is currently NOT using VeriSign nameservers
2. Login to the account at
https://www.netsol.com/en_US/manage-it/index.jhtml
3. Click on the appropriate domain name.
4. This is the page where you'd normally click on "Manage Contacts/DNS" -
DON'T. Instead, click on "Change Name Servers to VeriSign"
5. After you've thrown up from considering the implications of step 5,
click on the grey "No thanks" button on the right.
6. Now enter the nameservers that you want to use. Breath a sigh of
relief. :-)
