That's actually legitimate.  It's quite common, and absolutely required for
virtual hosting.

A hostname must resolve to a given IP, but the IP does not have to resolve
to that specific hostname.

However, a given IP's reverse DNS host name *must* resolve back to the
original IP.  This check is performed to prevent abuse.
