The reason that Geotrust (or any other vendor for that matter) send
the verification emails
directly is two-fold:
1- Yes, they do the verification of the organization, and need to
ensure that the information
provided is accurate. It isn't really a "we don't trust you" issue,
but instead a
legal obligation to ensure they did their due diligence.

Should you want to deal with this verification on behalf of your
customer, you can add
yourself as the admin contact/tech contact, and the correspondence
will go to you. And
you will have to provide the corporate information on behalf of the
customer.

2- They also use the email to deliver the cert directly to the user.
Again, you can put
someone on your team as the contact, and they will receive it if that
is a better option
for you.

But keep in mind, depending on volume, you may not want to have to
deal with all of these
requests, that is up to you.

Additionally, Geotrust will NOT contact the customer directly to renew
the certificate,
that will be done through OpenSRS.

Hope that helps.

Hi,
I think you mean, Geotrust or other Certificate Authorities do not
trust their resellers.

That is generally a part of the cert verification process. The
Certificate Authorities usually will contact the applicant via e-mail,
phone or other methods to verify they are who they say they are.
