Hi, i've just received the confirmation email from Directi to transfer a domain registered through them last year (via Snapnames) to OpenSRS - and thought it might be useful for anyone else who attempts it in the future.
they make it difficult to do because they don't send a valid URL - URL: http://manage.directi.com&domainname=xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com�istrar= Tucows, Inc. /general/ConfirmRfa.jsp?rfaid=3141&type=DomCnoTrfAwayFromUs&name=AdminContac t&[EMAIL PROTECTED]&domainname=xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com�istrar= Tucows, Inc. there are two things that I can spot wrong with it:- a) the '&' after the domain - surely it should be '?' or a page and then '?' b) the URL contains '�istrar=' - obviously parsed at their end, and changes '®ister' to the ® symbol - anyone without html knowledge wouldn't know this - so god knows how many transfers get rejected in this way. i'm tried fixing these two things, but I can't get the link working... anyone had experience of transferring from them ? can you point me in the right direction of a working URL ? i've sent an email into their support and am awaiting their response. the good news is that it isn't due for renewal until April, so time is not a problem. regards Brian We have received a request to Transfer the domain xxxxxxxxxx.com to Tucows, Inc. .
