Yeah, he is obviously someone that had no ideas of his own, so he took bad news and added implications and improper reasoning along with some ignorance, to get his name in the paper!
Not to get too far off subject, the Gopher protocol is as similar to HTTP/HTML as his document is to fact. In both cases, I would say they are off base!
