According to my soruces the board seems to feel that the at large positins are not in the best interest of ICANN.. had a nice conversation with someone involved in ICANN today his feeling is that with all the negative feelings toward ICANN they didnt want dissenting votes on the board to rock their boat...
Seems that ICANN's pledge to have 9 at large members (which has become 5) is no longer in their best interest...
