And the latest Scam is.. ta da. Stay Offers. They are absolute RETARDS over there.. Beyond this, how hard is it to register a cert with OpenSRS under my resellers interface? Also what is the ETA from start to issue? I have been waiting on a Cert renewal wih Thawte for a while now. After almost 6 years of certs, renewing religiously they raised prices, take your money and then do not issue the cert. I have a customer whose cert has been with them for 5 years and now they sit with an expired cert. I give up.
Many of you may have discovered that NSI allows payment for domain at
$30/2-years or $15/year. You're only offered this price if you put through a
transfer within the domain period. However, it always worked -- until now.
Verisign now REJECTS payments made via StayOffer.com unless offered. But first
they TAKE YOUR MONEY. If you're not on top of this you'll get scammed with a
confirmation # and all! Yet, within a day or two NSI will refund your money
and -- without telling you -- dump your renewal.
The only good news is that you can call their new 888 number and a body
answers. Clueless, of course, but a body. They told me my CC was no good.
Funny how the charge went through fine and was later reversed. How many bad
cards can do that?
