I have noticed this as well with .CA domain transfers, and I have reported it to support.  They say they know about the issue and are working to resolve it.

It appears that the process of transfering a .ca domain does not fully complete.  After you receive the transfer completed email, you will probably receive an expiry notification for any .ca that was about to expire prior to the transfer.  If you go into the RWI renewal management section you will see the domain is listed.  If you then go back to the main menu, then into the renewal management section again the domain is no longer listed, and will now be 'fully' transfered and updated.  This is a real pain as we get calls from our customers asking 'I thought you said the transfer would add a domain year'.  And of course we have to explain to them that the domain year was added and further that there is a bug in the software that is causing this problem and the programmers are working to erradicate it.

You should contact support with this issue, including the specific domain name in question.

There isn't enough information here to give an authoritative answer, and I'd rather not guess and be misleading.

Subject: .Ca Expiration Date wrong?

I had a .Ca transferred in, and it is still showing in the RWI as about to be deleted by the registry. Yet, the who-is shows it is not expiring for 12 month (Dec of 2003)  Can some one shed some light on this? I think I know what has happened, but it appears the SRS system is taking a long time to catch it....

Thanx,
