I've submitted a ticket to support, but since it's their day off maybe
someone can enlighten me.
At what point in the ordering process does a customer get to choose
which of the four certificate types listed at
http://resellers.tucows.com/opensrs/certificates/ they actually want?
I sent up my first cert order today (for my own server), and for
reasons that defy my imagination, it defaulted to a $99 cert (either
QuickSSL Premium or True BusinessID, I'm not really sure of anything
other than how much money was deducted from my balance). It's PROBABLY
a True BusinessID because it quoted me a turnaround time of several
days instead of the 10 Minutes the QuickSSL certs offer.
But I never in the entire process, from entering the request as a user,
to approving it as the RSP, to submitting the CSR as the end-user
again, and at no point was I ever asked what *type* of cert I wanted....
It's very frustrating. Meanwhile I had to dig left and right to find
the darn request and approve it (new system, old system, blah blah
blah). Makes a guy want to NOT buy the product he sells and just go
call Thawte up and order from them.
