While I don't mind seeing good news about DRoA, some of the statements in that press release leave a very bad taste in my mouth. >> "We hope that this outcome sends a clear message to those who attempt to trade off Register.com's brand and reputation," President Richard D. Forman said in a statement. << register.com's brand and reputation? Yeah right. On wait, I get it, they are attempting to trade off of register.com's BAD reputation. Okay, that makes more sense. >> In her injunction, U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald in the Southern District of New York stated that Domain Registry of America's tactics were "neither accidental nor innocuous, but calculated and intended to confuse and mislead consumers." << It sounds like she is describing register.com's transfer away notices. I wonder if they got the two mixed up. And of course we all know that DRoA isn't really a registrar, but I suspect this was a slip from the reporter and not something directly from register.com: >> Both firms, known as registrars <<
