Hi,

I would like to see the service now. We are more interested din buy a modest cost script instead of paying high dollar when only .01% at best wish to have this feature (DSL customers mostly) that host their site from home etc... (Their IP's change from time to time even though they should stay the same ;)

Hi MIke:
I have discussed this with our OpenSRS Rep - we have had SIGNIFICANT demand for DYNAMIC DNS from our customers for ages!
Doing some reasearch there are companies like www.zoneedit.com with nice reseller API which will let you offer this service as an add on to domain registration

The demand for Dynamic DNS is increasing rapidly!  It is a fantastic selling point as part of domain registration. DNS included in domain registration provides for host names, email forwarding and domain forwarding and does wonders for your customer retention and value for customers' dollar.

I am happy to say that our OpenSRS Rep told us that this particular feature is under consideration by OpenSRS -
Many Registrars offer Dynamic DNS built in to their standard dom reg.

Subject: Active Name Server Changes...

Hi All,

I have spoke a time or 2 about this... What is the "Best" active name server service available? We have a few people that have cable lines for their server at home (I know, I know... ;o)  But they would like to make any IP change themselves on our servers. Is their a great service that doesn't try to steal your domain business, or a alternative script to run with your SRS code that will make these changes on your own name servers with out security being compromised (Mind you we are curious with and without a firewall)?

Thanks in advance for any info. Looks like we way have to start working on a script for this ;o)
