Oh get off it. It's unreasonable to expect someone who would be effective in that type of position to not have contacts inside the industry, and to have friends and associates inside the industry, and to remain entirely aloof from the industry. And of course, to then paint that as having any relevance to ICANN, remember it was the CLINTON administration and his croonies who created ICANN. A week to TRANSITION to an entirely new registry provider does not seem like an unreasonable time frame by any stretch. We are talking about a transition of a database of over 2.3 million domain names after all. I may not agree with the decision to grant the registry to PIR, but I FULLY support moving the registry operations away from Verisign, and so this move is a positive one, and one that should be welcomed by us all, even if we do not agree on who should have been the selected registry operator. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
