While ago I suggested that a domain name be part of the subject in the
message... this catches the customers' attention... the argument from
the developers was BUT our renewal reminder messages combine several
domains if they are due for renewal on the same day... I suggested
something simple, already practiced by other Registrars can be enlisted;

Count $domains
if only one domain -> Subject : X day $domain renewal reminder
else -> Subject: X day $domain and other domains renewal reminder

I think this was over a year ago, I agree with you, we see a significant
number of customers whose renewal reminders end up in trash / junk
folders and hope that one of these days the SUBJECT of renewal reminders
will contain the domain name.
