I agree; throwing out Microsoft software can't do anything but improve any company's business operation in the long run. Though in this case, the offending message wasn't from anyone at OpenSRS, it was merely distributed by an OpenSRS list.
It might also be a good idea to set up your list software to bounce any list submissions with attachments that have MIME-types other then than "text/*". It's simpler than running every submission through a virus scanner, and can be done simply by wrapping your majordomo wrapper in procmail with the necessary bounce recipes. Just a few minutes of setup, I'd expect, along with insignificantly more resources required for each list submission. p On Mon, Feb 17, 2003 at 06:34:58PM -0500, Ben Kennedy wrote: > > I humbly recommend that as a company offering e-mail service to end > users, you first set a good example for them by immediately throwing out > all of your insecure Microsoft user-agents. > > *sigh* > > -b > > -- > Ben Kennedy, chief magician > zygoat creative technical services > 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 > http://www.zygoat.ca > -- Paul Chvostek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Operations / Abuse / Whatever it.canada, hosting and development http://www.it.ca/
