For U.S. processors at least, the only "address" information available for
credit cards is the numeric portion of the street address and the postal
code.  These two items are all that Address Verification Systems are
designed to check.

For example, if my real address is:
123 Elm Avenue
Somewhere on Earth
98765

AVS will return a match when provided with:
123 Main Street
A land far, far, away
98765

Because "123" and "98765" match in both addresses.
