Has everybody experienced an increase in new domain registrations during February?
Domain registrations are a minor part of our business and is not promoted by us. The last six months we have only averaged 1.3 new domain registrations per day and the average period was only 1.1 years, with almost everything for one year. However during the month of February we averaged 3.71 domains per day, with a average registration period of 3.1 years. We receive a large percentage of five year registrations and several ten year registrations. While I am aware that 104 new domain registrations is not that many for most of you I was wondering about this large of an increase since we do not promote nor advertise domain registrations. Hence my question, as I was wondering if this was just a fluke or if new domain registrations are increasing again.
