I don't mean to blow my own horn (and you may already aware of this),
but a functional version of the OpenSRS API has been implemented in PHP
already: http://opensrs-php.sourceforge.net/

I wrote the class for my own needs originally, so it lacks the user
interface that the "official" Perl client has, and a few other small
features. However, if OpenSRS is looking to release an official PHP
version, may I suggest that we coordinate efforts.

I already know of several people who have been trying to "complete" my
PHP class with the user templates, IDN support, etc..
