Hi Everyone,
I'm somewhat new to list the list, I've been following it for a
few weeks now. Our company focuses mostly on hosting, and has been an
OpenSRS Reseller mostly just as a courtesy to our clients, and to make
things convenient for ourselves. Typically we register a few names a
week, and don't really promote our domain sales very much. We're going
through a real change in direction for our company now, and I'm debating
whether to go through the work of getting some sort of online CC
processing along with the reseller API running through our site. (
Especially after some of the problems and headaches I've been hearing
about ) Do you all feel that it's still worth the work? What do you
all think would be a typical week of online sales for your sites after
everything is up and running smoothly, assuming modest margins on the
wholesale prices. Basically, I'd just like to hear all of your opinions
about the system, and whether if you had the chance to go back to before
you got your API's running, would you go through the setup all again?
On another note, I was happy to see the mention of the PHP
version of the client code forthcoming, can anyone from Tucows give me
an accurate ETA on it to determine whether to try and implement the PERL
API being someone who is much more familiar with PHP then Perl. I'd
appreciate any feedback you all may have, and have learned quite a bit
by watching the lists over the last few weeks, Thanks!
