Andy, You'll want to read through the reseller section on the OpenSRS website that talks about minimum deposits and what it takes to be a reseller.
The tools you need are already here. I suspect that the public domain manager interface at https://manage.opensrs.net will allow you to manage your domains as you desire - unless your current RSP has front-ended the OpenSRS username and password with his own system. If he has and you want to test the public interface and see how it works, contact me off-list and I'll tell you how to do this. If you have all the domains under one profile, you can edit the contact information one time, in one place, and apply it to all the domains in the profile. Very easy. If you don't have all your domains in one profile, you should move them into one profile. You can do this in the domain manager as well. As for phone number formats, I believe you can have one now, as long as it's in the format +[country-code].[phone-number], ie +1.1234567890 for a number in the US. This format is required at a number of registries, and optional for others. The public Manage interface allows up to 6 nameservers I believe. I've never filled one up. Certainly more than 2 is desirable these days for many customers. Most of us (RSPs) have private label Domain Manager interfaces as well, since we can offer domain locking control (a very good thing to keep your domains locked) and other enhancements directly to our customers that may not be available in the public domain manager. As for purchasing new domains, yes as an RPS you can certainly do that, however again you need to understand how much money you will need to have as a minimum on deposit with OpenSRS before you can use the RSP tools to register your own domains. This might make the benefits too expensive for you - if the minimum on deposit exceeds what you will need to register. You also cannot fund OpenSRS one domain at a time for purchases - you will need to make another deposit on account; though I don't recall what the minimum is here (we typically make fairly large deposits so I've never tested the lower limit). If your current RSP restricts your access to the public domain manager, and does not support what you need in his private domain manager, you may simply want to transfer between resellers. If we can be of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Good luck, -Tim -- Tim Hewitt myOstrich Internet http://www.myostrich.net on 10/8/03 3:49 AM, Andy Jackman at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hi, > We have 30 domains names that we use in-house, 8 of them are .co.uk, a > few are .biz/.info and most are .com/.net or .org.
