The unfortunate problem is that there is no universally supported method with email clients nor email servers. Some email clients can authenticate via SMTP (Outlook Express can), some clients can send via POP (Eudora can), and few but some mail servers support either. Some ISPs will also block TCP port 25 to anything but their own mail server. Adam
