I've always done these checks one-at-a-time (I haven't explored whether it would be possible to leave a socket connection open on an ongoing basis), from a script that uses a semaphore to ensure it's only running once at a time. As long as I make sure I have only have one connection at a time going, d'ya think this would invoke the wrath of Ross? > They get upset about that. Quite understandable. So would I. :) -- Paul Chvostek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> it.canada http://www.it.ca/ Free PHP web hosting! http://www.it.ca/web/
