Hi John,

Can you please email me the domain(s) in question off list. We've just tried
to recreate this problem with a .org name and were unable to do so.

Cheers,

James

Subject: Updating .ORG whois information

I've been trying for the past couple of weeks to update the tech contact
information in a .org domain which we were able to successfully transfer to
our reseller account (finally, but that is another horror story).

Now we want to update the whois information and have done so in the OpenSRS
manage interface and it shows up correctly there via the RWI but it is not
reflected in the whois data at http://www.pir.org/cgi-bin/whois.cgi

Am I missing a step or is this a bug? It has been in this state for at least
a couple of weeks now.

If the PIR whois is not going to be synced with the sponsoring registrar's
data, they should drop it from their whois and instead just give a pointer
to the sponsoring registrar's whois but wait, the data obtained at
http://precow.tucows.com/cgi-bin/whois.cgi is wrong as well.

I hate to say it but .org seems to have worked better under Verisign's
management.
