Or it's simply a matter of there being X number of features and
OpenSRS only have a finite amount of time to launch the product,
so they put in what's used most often with managed DNS services,
and left the "advanced" features to "Phase II" (or what not)

All depends on how the cogs are setup, and the manner in which
things are provisioned, development resources available, who's
already working on what, etc.  Complex organization, complex
products, complex solution delivery.
