The issue is who determines what should be turned over to whom? You stay out of it, unless you want to be sued. A court of Law determines this.and until you are presented with a snotarized & signed agreement from the previous owner, or are served by an appropriate Court of Law, do nothing. correction: consult your attorney. With regards to a .com - I have a client whose name is in all contact spots along with his email address. The company name is in the organization spots in all contacts. Individual #2 claims to have controlling shares of the company.
If he proves ownership of the company with legal papers, is he (acting on behalf of the company) the registrant of the domain or is my named client the registrant?
We are telling the individual that we cannot act without the authority of the registrant - BUT - who is the registrant in this case? I wish for compliance to handle any decisions - can I just refer individual #2 to contact compliance for resolution?
