Can anyone point me to a statement on PIR's website about expiration date shown in their WHOIS?
We have a customer that let their domain expire claiming it's not expired based on the date shown in PIR's WHOIS. PIR automatically updates the date shown on the anniversary date by one year whether or not the domain has actually been renewed. Other registries, like Verisign do the same thing, but at least Verisign includes the following disclaimer with WHOIS: NOTICE: The expiration date displayed in this record is the date the registrar's sponsorship of the domain name registration in the registry is currently set to expire. This date does not necessarily reflect the expiration date of the domain name registrant's agreement with the sponsoring registrar. Users may consult the sponsoring registrar's Whois database to view the registrar's reported date of expiration for this registration. I need a statement similar to this from PIR. - Bill -- <=> ASK and you shall receive <=>
