These enhancements are a result of Reseller feedback, and will provide a more comprehensive tool set to manage the lifecycle of UK domain names. Several improvements have been made, including asynchronous request queuing, new management capabilities and a WHOIS opt-out option.
Some questions:
1. I just looked over the API specs. It seems the whois opt-out is only available with the modify_domain command. Can it not be set for new registrations?
2. Also, the enhancements page lists:

Updating a domain's organization information through Nominet is
now completely automated.Does this mean that a modify_domain command that changes the owner contact info will be processed? Or do we still need to deal with the manual process described here:

3. You say:

Email notifications regarding transaction failures can now be
configured to be sent to the Reseller and admin contacts.Can these be configured to be sent to only the Reseller? Or set to not be sent at all? Can the text be modified?
