Jo, Most registries operate on a synchronous basis, so you are informed at the time of the order if it was successful through OpenSRS. For the other registries such as CIRA for .CA, they will send the registrant a note advising them to go to the CIRA site and to confirm the order and they will find out at that point if the registration was successful.
