Cool. I hadn't even looked at the threading aspect of it (yet), I just noticed the missing Date header. However, unless 1969 was a busy year for OpenSRS, and the following years have been completely stagnant, the NNTP server is broken, it's not offering valid dates in the overviews or in the header (Apologies for the unfortunate wrapping of the following, but it should be semi-readable)
We're using Papercut as the NNTP gateway to Phorum and are in the process of rewriting a sizeable portion of it to support our upgrade to Phorum 5. This is a known issue and should be fixed early this week. If you are using the Phorum interface, you will see appropriate threading.
Any thoughts as to whether or not it will be fixed retroactively or will the fix only apply to new posts?
Out of curiosity, are any of the tools open source and/or freely available (And yes, I could Google it... I'm lazy, plus I don't have internet access as I write this) -- I could use some new toys to play with :)
