Help Desk/Junior Systems Administrator
We are looking for an intelligent tech guru who, while focused on sorting
out help desk issues, is looking for something more. Success will require
a willingness to wrestle with all manner of phone, network and computer
problems, and learn on the job. The right candidate will have a creative
and helpful attitude, with great social and communication skills. Help
desk experience is a must, but you should also be ready and willing to take
on system administration duties.
Job is located in Andover, MA and offers a comprehensive benefit package.
What we need from you:
· A fundamental and thorough understanding of the guts of PCs and
operating systems (XP, Windows 7, MAC OS a plus)
· Basic understanding of networks and how they work
· An open mind towards technology; a “right tool for the job” mentality
· Someone who likes being on the cutting edge of technology
· Help desk experience and a willingness to tackle server and network
issues
· A passion for finding creative solutions
· Self-starter and stick-to-itiveness
· Be able to work on your own with minimal guidance at times
· 24/7 on call will be expected from time to time, as is a minimal
amount of “off hours” work
Experience:
· Helpdesk experience - at least 2 years
· Some Windows server experience helpful, with a willingness to learn
quickly
· Other technologies in use: Blackberry and BES Server, Lotus Notes,
Traveler server, MS Sql, AD, Checkpoint Firewall and VPN, HP Procurve
switches, VMWare ESX 4.0, Server 2003\2008, Linux and much more!
