[Discuss] Converting Users on Server to NOLOGIN

Our home file server has provided a dual purpose role as a 
second desktop, but as all the children are now grown and 
have their own devices I would like to convert their 
accounts to nologin on it.
The home directories are essentially empty of user files. 
What if any consequence should I anticipate in converting 
them to nologin?
I'm assuming that the samba shared user directories will 
still provide them access to their files through the network.
